Senior Manager, Digital Accounts – Order to Cash

Job Description:

  • Lead the Digital and Royalty Stream AR team and ensure operational tasks are completed
  • Own invoices, collections, cash application, revenue assurance, and risk assessments
  • Manage cash forecasting and bad debt management
  • Facilitate setup and tracking of new accounts and maintain relationships with DSPs and licensing and sync partners
  • Manage the Digital portfolio’s risk review schedule and timeline
  • Serve as primary contact for SSC Accounting, Legal, Finance, and Business Teams
  • Review contracts for terms, advances, payments, reporting, and pricing
  • Manage Invoice Advance/Guarantees, Formatting, and Prep Fees
  • Implement, translate, and review contractual language for royalty-related revenue customers and partners
  • Record and report digital revenues by media type and ensure proper cash application and revenue recognition triggers
  • Lead and develop internal and offshore resources
  • Assist with cash forecasts for significant revenue streams in partnership with FP&A
  • Prepare accruals for outstanding or revised sales reporting files
  • Resolve account discrepancies with customers and collect additional monies
  • Oversee daily cash reporting and follow-up processes
  • Manage invoice preparation for pricing, manifest, suspense, compliance, and product code issues
  • Streamline and improve data reporting and storage processes
  • Lead account review, cash forecast, and bad debt meetings
  • Facilitate monthly royalty payments
  • Support revenue recognition
  • Own and review SOX controls over the Digital portfolio

Requirements:

  • 10 years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, shared services, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and related OTC processes or revenue accounting
  • Minimum of five years leading large teams including outsourced support resources
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4 Hanna
  • Expert process knowledge of Customer Master Data, Credit Management, Billing, Collections, Dispute Management, and Cash Application
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance preferred)
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, data governance, and SOX compliance
  • Proficiency with BI software, Excel, or other tools to construct data matching models
  • Deep understanding of ASC 606 (US GAAP) and/or IFRS 15
  • Detailed understanding of Music Industry revenue streams
  • Working knowledge of Music Industry metadata on products, tracks, and other artist related works
