Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Nanny/Mother’s Help for a busy, young farming family located approximately 2 miles from Hadleigh, Suffolk. The family has easy access from Ipswich and Colchester via A12.

The current nanny is relocating after 3.5 happy years, and we are looking for someone to fill her role.

The working hours are:

  • Monday: 8am to 6pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7.30am to 6pm
  • Friday: 8.30am to 1.30pm

The children are aged 2 and 4 years. The ideal candidate will be energetic, fun, and genuinely enjoy working with young children.

One child starts school in September. This is a sole charge position, involving:

  • Providing caring and competent child care
  • Driving children to nursery and activities
  • Engaging in play and fun activities
  • Outdoor play
  • Cooking healthy meals for children and possibly the family
  • Occasional baking
  • Keeping the house tidy, children\'s laundry, and ironing

The Person:

  • Reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, with a love for working with children
  • Kind, caring, fun, energetic
  • Enjoys outdoor activities and country life
  • Good cook
  • Willing to do some housework
  • Animal lover preferred, with the ability to take children riding (not essential)
  • Safe driver with a clean license

Qualifications:

  • Childcare qualifications preferred; extensive childcare experience considered
  • Paediatric first aid certification

A competitive salary will be offered. A car can be provided for work if needed.
