This role is challenging but plays key part of the site management team. Reporting to the Shift Manager, the successful candidate will be working as part of a team of Team Managers responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation. You will be responsible for the Warehouse Colleagues and Warehouse Administrators ensuring the consistent achievement of Key Performance Indicators and delivering a high level of on time and on cost customer service. Shift: 14.00pm – 22.00pm (Any 5 from 7) Salary: £37,000.00 This position includes some weekend working, including bank holidays as the depot operates 24/7 therefore, it is essential that you are flexible in your approach to work. Duties and responsibilities: The role reports directly to the Warehouse Shift Managers. Working closely with peers to define, deploy & manage resource and equipment to optimise performance for the process & Control of customer orders, Inbound and out bound loading & unloading of vehicles. Involvement in ensuring all working procedures are clearly defined and cascaded, with regular reviews to ensure effectiveness. Responsible for the day-to-day management, ongoing development and motivation of a team of Warehouse Colleagues. Must be proactive in seeking improvements in process/methods of operating and also in the introduction of best practice within the site. Responsible for the consistent achievement of KPI’s and delivering a high level of on time, on cost & Quality customer service. Accountable for the personal Health and safety of all colleagues by ensuring all tasks are carried out to the relevant procedures and by adhering to safe working practices at all times. Develop a positive and proactive culture to ensure Health & Safety and environmental responsibilities have a high profile on site. A champion for both the company and customers vision and values. Ensuring excellent working relationships with the Customer representatives. Experience, skills and attributes: A good command of the English language to include, comprehension, verbal and written ability and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in a warehouse environment, including detailed understanding of warehouse management systems, PC literate with experience in using spreadsheets and databases. Demonstrate drive, Forward thinking, energy and a commitment to the continuous improvement of overall contract performance. Experience of Health & Safety regulations in a warehouse environment is essential, the ability to carry out Investigation with Root causation and actions to correct. Experienced in dealing with ER issues, Disciplinary & Grievance, Time Management and Absence Management. Ability to work under pressure and flexible in approach. Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines and prioritising workloads. Attention to detail is key for this role as is the ability to analyse data and make recommendations. Customer focused and able to build effective relationships with the team, client and other third parties. Previous experience with customer relations is desirable but not essential. Be inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance. Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills. Enthusiastic, committed, and able to respond positively to changing demands. Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels.
