Join our dedicated team at Anglian Water\'s Central Distribution Centre (CDC) in Peterborough, where you\'ll play a key role in keeping our logistics network running smoothly.

As a Logistics Warehouse Operator, you’ll be responsible for a variety of warehouse fulfilment tasks including receiving inbound deliveries, accurately counting and storing stock, and preparing goods for outbound dispatch via HGVs. You’ll use SAP to manage stock movements, and complete physical tasks using a mix of manual handling (up to 20kg) and mechanical lifting equipment.

What will you be doing?

Daily Warehouse Operations

Carry out core warehouse tasks as part of the Inbound, Outbound, or Evening team.

Use handheld devices to log all stock movements in SAP.

Manage the safe offloading of supplier deliveries, goods receipt, stock returns, and rack inventory retrieval.

Ensure safe movement and storage of materials using MHE and banding equipment.

Maintain stock accuracy through regular checks and stocktaking activities.

Assist in vehicle movement coordination within the CDC and load HGVs in line with safety protocols.

Uphold 5S, hygiene, HAZMAT, and housekeeping standards.

Mechanical Handling Equipment Use

Operate Forklift Counterbalance and Reach Trucks safely and in accordance with procedures.

Use other MHE including gantries, electronic pump trucks, and pallet wrappers as required.

Promote and uphold a strong health and safety culture across all operations.

Complete full H&S induction and adhere to all safety standards and procedures.

Carry out regular audits, report near misses, and contribute to continuous safety improvement.

Ensure compliance with the Working Time Directive and mandatory safety equipment requirements.

Emergency Cover

Provide 24-hour standby support for emergency logistics needs as part of an on-call rota, working with the duty manager.

What does it take to be a Logistics Warehouse Operator?

Logistic warehouse operations experience

Forklift truck operator – either Reach truck or Counterbalance

Experience using IT led (RF guns) systems for order fulfilment

Safe Manual Handling experience (up to 20kg individual lift)

SAP S/4 Enhanced Warehouse Management (EWM) experience – desirable

General warehouse qualifications (First aid, mechanical lifting, rack inspector, HAZMAT disposal) – desirable

Water material, food hygiene standards or Regulation 31 experience – desirable
