Warehouse Operative / Machinery Operative (Table & Band Saws)

Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire

Temp to Perm position, Immediate start

Rate: £14.90 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, (Apply online only) hours, with 1 hour lunch break

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licences and a keen eye for detail?

We have an exciting opportunity to join an established, family run engineering business who is looking to recruit a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Operative.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklift trucks confidently with valid Counterbalance and Reach licences.

Execute picking and packing tasks efficiently, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Load and unload goods safely, maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.

Manage and oversee stock control, ensuring inventory is organised and up to date.

Handle goods in/out processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

Oversee batch control to ensure product quality and compliance.

Using machinery such as table saws and band saws (previous experience is a bonus but not a requirement) whilst following all machine safety procedures.

Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in a stores or warehouse environment - Essential.

Valid Reach and Counterbalance forklift license - Desirable.

Strong aptitude for stock and batch control processes.

Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to meet daily targets.

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Previous experience using machinery such as table saws and band saws is a bonus but not a requirement.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure. You must be a team player who is proactive and able to contribute positively to a supportive working environment.
