Job Description

Job Type: Permanent, 40 Hours, 00:00 start, 5 out of 7

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll be at the heart of our operation, helping thousands of parcels reach the right destination safely and on time.

You'll join a fast-paced, supportive team and may have opportunities to learn different warehouse functions. You may also be required to step up as the second point of responsibility on the shift, helping maintain a safe and effective operation when the Shift Manager is unavailable.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility and develop towards future supervisory or management roles.

Responsibilities
You will support the shift manager with general warehouse duties and:
  • Support the achievement of depot targets for Core Routes and Stops Per Route (SPR)
  • Assist with setting up and organizing all daily delivery and collection routes
  • Supporting the scan-and-load process to keep driver departures safe, fast, and on schedule
  • Maintain active communication with drivers to help resolve route issues as they arise
  • Help complete required transport systems and administrative paperwork accurately
  • Support overall depot performance across the depot
  • Work with the team to ensure "Depot Clear" is hit at the end of the shift


Qualifications

What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who:
  • Have previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Are reliable, punctual and ready to contribute.
  • Are confident supporting colleagues and taking on additional responsibility.
  • Can safely handle parcels weighing up to 25kg and remain active throughout the shift.
  • Follow processes and maintain high safety standards.
  • Have the confidence to step up and support the operation when required.


Previous experience as a team leader or 2IC would be beneficial.
