Waking Night Carer, HA7. Full-time position available for a professional Waking Night Carer, experienced in complex care to join a team providing 2:1 support to Winnie, an 18-year-old living in Stanmore. Salary: £46,900.00 + Gross per Annum

- Wage/Salary: £18.80 Weekdays, £20.80 Weekends, £46,900.00 + Gross per Annum

- Essential Experience: Supporting children or young adults with complex care and medical needs, including suctioning and PEG feeds; confident in all aspects of manual handling; experience working waking nights; non-smoker/vaper. This role is open to Female applicants only.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Days & Hours: 4 shifts per week, 8.00pm to 8.00am, including a mixture of weekdays and weekends on a rota basis.

About Winnie
Winnie is an 18-year-old with Cerebral Palsy (GMFCS Level 5), scoliosis, and Dystonia. She requires oral suctioning, nebulisers, and has a Gastrojejunostomy for nutrition, fluids, and medication. Winnie uses a wheelchair and communicates via switches. She enjoys hobbies like music, movies, and arts and crafts. Winnie lives in a fully adapted home in Stanmore with her mum, attends college, and has a therapy room.
Role Overview
The Waking Night Carer will support Winnie during her bedtime/night routine, managing her health, care, and medical needs. The role involves active monitoring, suctioning, repositioning, and ensuring Winnie’s safety and comfort. The team works collaboratively to provide quality sleep for Winnie. Part-time options may be considered.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have experience in complex care (PEG, suctioning), be reliable, caring, and team-oriented. Excellent communication, organizational skills, and accurate documentation are essential. Female candidates only.
