Tradewind Recruitment are working with a fantastic secondary school in Harrow seeking a Student Services Assistant to join their welcoming team from January 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm), ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy, people-focused environment and is passionate about supporting students\' wellbeing and progress.

Student Services Assistant - Role Overview

Act as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors to the Student Services office.

Provide administrative and pastoral support to ensure the smooth daily running of student services.

Assist with attendance, punctuality, and student record keeping.

Support students with pastoral queries, timetable issues, and general welfare needs.

Administer first aid and student medical support, maintaining accurate medical records and supplies.

Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to promote student engagement and wellbeing.

Maintain accurate student files and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.

Requirements

Previous experience in an administrative or student support role (school experience desirable but not essential).

First Aid qualified (or willing to undertake First Aid training).

Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems (training can be provided).

A positive, empathetic, and proactive attitude.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
