Programme Overview
Embark on a career in law through our Bright Futures programme, a stepping stone designed for first-year law or penultimate-year non-law students from lower socio-economic backgrounds. The programme offers insight into the firm and the application of law in our core industry sectors.
Programme Details
• Programme dates 2026: 27th July – 31st July
• Salary: £520 for the week. We cover up to £200 in travel expenses and can assist with accommodation costs if you live outside Greater London.
• Location: London office. You will shadow lawyers, attend networking and panel sessions, and participate in an assessment centre at the end of the programme to decide fast-tracking to our London 2027 Vacation Scheme.

Key Requirements
Either first-year law or penultimate-year non-law undergraduate students on a 3-year degree, OR if on a 4-year degree a second-year law or penultimate-year non-law student.
No prior law experience required, but you should have achieved AAB or equivalent at A level, be on track for a 2:1 degree, be commercially minded and explain why you would be a good fit for Clyde & Co.
Attendance at a state / non-fee-paying school AND meet at least one of the following socio-economic criteria: eligibility for free school meals; household income below roughly £21,000 at age 14; upbringing in a household where no parent/guardian had attended university or higher education (except mature student or sibling case); highest-paid parent/guardian in a technical, craft, routine, semi-routine, or unemployed occupation; time in local authority care; having been a carer; having refugee or asylum seeker status as a child; or having experienced homelessness.
All candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of the scheme. The Bright Futures role and the vacation scheme are not eligible for a skilled sponsor visa.
Recruitment Process

Online assessment – critical reasoning test plus a strengths-based assessment (written and ranking questions).
Pre-recorded video interview for those who perform well.
Virtual interview with fee earners or early careers.
