In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and aircraft within our bustling international aviation hub.<br><ul><li>Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, luggage, and cargo using state-of-the-art equipment</li><li>Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security devices with precision and efficiency</li><li>Monitor CCTV systems to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities</li><li>Implement and enforce aviation security regulations and protocols</li><li>Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies</li><li>Collaborate with various airport departments and external agencies to maintain a secure environment</li><li>Perform passenger profiling and behavioural analysis to identify potential risks</li><li>Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed incident reports as required</li><li>Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on the latest security procedures and technologies</li></ul><strong>Qualifications</strong><br><br><strong>Required Skills</strong><br><ul><li>A sharp eye for detail, with strong observational abilities</li><li>Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>The ability to stay calm, focused, and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations</li><li>Good physical fitness, with the capability to stand for long periods and carry out manual handling when required</li><li>Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays</li><li>Strong people skills, with the ability to engage professionally with passengers from a wide range of backgrounds</li><li>Solid understanding of threat assessment and passenger profiling techniques</li><li>Ability to travel to reinforce other stations abroad frequently</li></ul><strong>Desirable Skills</strong><br><ul><li>Previous experience in aviation security or a similar environment (working airside)</li><li>A high school qualification (or equivalent)</li></ul><strong>Additional Information</strong><br><br>Successful candidates will be required to attend a mandatory 3.5-week training course held abroad (location to be confirmed at screening). This in-depth programme is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to operate as a Specialist Security Agent. All travel and accommodation will be provided, along with a daily allowance for the duration of your time away.<br><br>During training, the starting salary is £12.90 per hour, increasing to £14.59+ upon successful completion of the initial course.
