<strong>Role Description<br><br></strong><strong>Software/Data Engineer – Data Platforms (Asset & Wealth Management)<br><br></strong><strong>Location:</strong> London, UK<br><br><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Fixed-Term Employment<br><br><strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP<br><br>We are seeking a talented Software/Data Engineer to join our Data Platforms team and help build, modernise, and support a strategic enterprise data platform within the Asset & Wealth Management sector.<br><br>This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong Data Engineering experience across Snowflake, Azure, Python, dbt, and CI/CD, who enjoys delivering scalable data solutions and working with modern cloud and AI technologies.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Design, build, and optimise data pipelines, transformations, and data models using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and dbt</li><li>Develop and support cloud-based data solutions within Azure</li><li>Manage source control, deployments, and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub</li><li>Build automation and integration services using Python</li><li>Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and improve platform reliability</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions</li><li>Utilise AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and delivery quality<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Will Bring<br><br></strong><ul><li>Strong experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Snowflake, and Python</li><li>Experience building and maintaining dbt models and data pipelines</li><li>Solid understanding of dimensional data modelling (Kimball methodology)</li><li>Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments</li><li>Experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control and release management</li><li>Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, testing, and code quality standards</li><li>Asset & Wealth Management or Investment Management domain experience is essential<br><br></li></ul><strong>Nice To Have Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience with .NET/C#, React, or TypeScript</li><li>Advanced Snowflake capabilities including Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks</li><li>Power BI, semantic modelling, or data product experience</li><li>Exposure to AI-enabled solutions and development tools<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We're Looking For<br><br></strong><ul><li>A proactive engineer who takes ownership and delivers high-quality solutions</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities</li><li>A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment<br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Skills<br><br></strong>Snowflake, SQL, Python, dbt, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, ETL/ELT, Data Modelling, Asset & Wealth Management.<br><br><strong>Join us and help shape a modern, cloud-first data platform delivering critical insights and analytics across our Asset & Wealth Management business.<br><br></strong><strong>#UST<br><br></strong><strong>Skills<br><br></strong>Data Engineering, Data Modeling, ETL, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Python, pytest, dbt, Snowflake
