Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the overall goals and objectives of the BBC South East team. Manage a team of journalists, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success. Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging and high-quality social media content across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Monitor social media trends and analytics to continually improve and optimize the team's social media presence. Collaborate with other teams and departments within the BBC South East to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand image on social media. Work closely with the Senior Editor and other senior managers to ensure that the team's social media efforts align with the editorial direction and priorities of the organization. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and influencers to expand the BBC South East's reach and engagement on social media. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging social media platforms to ensure the BBC South East remains at the forefront of digital media. Provide regular reports and analysis on social media performance to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
