<p>As a Senior Counsel, Labor & Employment at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our organization by providing expert legal advice and guidance on all matters related to labor and employment law. Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all matters related to labor and employment law to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with the Human Resources team to develop and implement effective strategies and policies to manage labor and employment issues. Advise senior leadership on the potential legal implications of business decisions and provide guidance on mitigating risks. Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in labor and employment laws to ensure the organization remains compliant. Lead and manage complex labor and employment litigation matters, including internal investigations and dispute resolution. Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to labor and employment matters. Train and educate employees and managers on labor and employment laws and company policies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings, as needed. Analyze and assess potential legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate or resolve them. Act as a mentor and resource for other legal team members, providing guidance and support on labor and employment law matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment in legal strategies and decisions. Keep abreast of industry best practices and trends in labor and employment law and make recommendations for improving company policies and procedures. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain the highest level of ethical standards. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal operations related to labor and employment law.
