Senior Content Executive

Now, we're looking for an experienced Senior Content Executive to help lead content quality, mentor junior team members, and shape content strategy for a varied client portfolio.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Content Executive, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key client accounts, acting as the primary content point of contact and escalation point. Working within a fast-paced agency environment, you will develop high-quality content, optimise for SEO, and ensure brand consistency while collaborating with internal teams and clients. You will also monitor content performance, implement improvements based on analytics, and contribute directly to content strategy planning at department level.

This role requires a strong ability to craft compelling copy, manage multiple projects simultaneously, support the development of junior team members, and stay ahead of industry trends to deliver effective content marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of key client accounts, acting as primary content point of contact and escalation point.
  • Develop and execute engaging content strategies tailored to client objectives.
  • Contribute to content strategy planning at department level, alongside the Head of Content.
  • Edit and optimise existing content.
  • Create engaging, informed and SEO optimised content.
  • Adapt to/develop an appropriate tone of voice for each client and ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Produce content in a range of forms including blogs, guest blogs, blog briefs, product descriptions, web pages, FAQs, press release, social media, email and other marketing channels.
  • Review and quality-check content produced by junior content team members prior to publication, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Support the onboarding and development of junior content executives.
  • Conduct thorough research to ensure authentic copy.
  • Carry out competitor research.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, voice, and SEO best practices.
  • Manage a comprehensive and varied client list.
  • Lead client review meetings and present content performance and strategy directly to client stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in client meetings and foster strong client relationships.
  • Work closely with SEO colleagues and take a lead role developing content plans/strategies, including proactively conducting keyword research, tracking the performance of content, and identifying potential content gaps.
  • Analyse content performance and suggest improvements based on data insights.
  • Use AI tools to support (not replace) content creation, ensuring all outputs are reviewed, fact-checked, and aligned with brand tone before publishing, in line with Paramount Digital's AI Usage Policy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet campaign goals.
  • Regularly source/suggest images and upload content to CM platforms.
  • Proofread content to ensure consistently high standards.
  • Support other divisions of the wider Paramount team as required.
  • Attend events as required.
  • Undertake other duties, as required, in accordance with the requirements of the Content team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging content marketing strategies.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or proven relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable experience operating at a senior/lead level within a content team, including supporting or reviewing the work of junior colleagues.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Extensive experience of producing consistently high standards of content for a range of audiences and across a variety of platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Ability to analyse content performance and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Experience working with CMS platforms, analytics tools, and marketing automation software such as Ahrefs, Keyword Finder, Wincher, Google Analytics etc.
  • Confident and responsible use of AI tools to support content research, drafting, and optimisation, in line with Paramount Digital's AI Usage Policy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Confident liaising directly with clients and colleagues across all divisions, including at a senior/stakeholder level.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.

Training and Development Paramount Digital is committed to supporting your development in this role. Training options will be tailored to assist you and the team in improving your skills and will be evaluated in collaboration with the Head of Content. These opportunities are designed to align with company objectives and support personal and professional growth.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
