Renewable Energy Sales Dialler

Job Summary

We are looking for a confident, ambitious and highly motivated Renewable Energy Sales Dialler to support our growing sales team.

Working under the direction of the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for contacting new customer enquiries relating to:

  • Solar PV
  • Battery storage
  • Air source heat pumps
You will be the customer’s first point of contact after they submit an enquiry. Your role will be to build rapport, gather the basic information required, understand the customer’s needs and explain the next steps in the process. The information you collect will be passed to the relevant design team, who will prepare a suitable system design and proposal. A member of the sales team will then contact the customer to discuss the proposed system, available options and quotation in more detail.

This role would suit someone who is extremely confident on the telephone, driven to achieve results and ambitious to progress into a future sales position providing expert renewable energy advice to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact new customer enquiries promptly by telephone.
  • Handle enquiries for solar PV, battery storage and air source heat pumps.
  • Work under the supervision and direction of the Sales Manager.
  • Introduce the company and explain the customer journey.
  • Build rapport and create a professional first impression.
  • Gather accurate customer, property and energy-usage information.
  • Understand the customer’s requirements, priorities and reasons for making an enquiry.
  • Identify the most suitable renewable energy service for the customer’s needs.
  • Request electricity bills, photographs or other supporting information where required.
  • Record all information accurately within the company CRM system.
  • Pass complete and accurate information to the relevant design team.
  • Arrange suitable follow-up appointments for the sales team.
  • Follow up with customers where further information is required.
  • Achieve agreed targets for calls, customer contact, completed information and appointments.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Sales Manager regarding lead progress.

Training and Career Progression The successful candidate will receive ongoing training and support from the Sales Manager and wider technical and sales teams.

Training will include

  • Solar PV systems.
  • Battery storage systems.
  • Air source heat pumps.
  • Customer energy usage.
  • Basic property information required for system design.
  • Renewable energy products and technologies.
  • Customer qualification and telephone sales techniques.
  • The system design and proposal process.
As your product knowledge, confidence and performance develop, there may be opportunities to progress into a wider sales role. This could include discussing system designs, providing product advice and managing customer opportunities from enquiry through to sale. Progression will be based on performance, product knowledge and the requirements of the business.
