About this role

Planday is looking for a strategic and execution oriented product manager to drive the product strategy and roadmap forward in the Business Systems and Monetisation space.

This is a wide surface area role. You’ll cover problem areas such as product tiering, upsell strategy, internal systems supporting Billing, Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing (non exhaustive). You’ll be exploring different strategic options, doing detailed analysis and recommending a path forward. You’ll need to be comfortable understanding large parts of the platform and the underlying use case complexity, and working with a wide range of cross functional stakeholders.

There is plenty of space to have a meaningful impact. This is a key focus area for Planday, both from a product and commercial point of view.

Planday product managers work on a range of product problem domains, so this role could be assigned to a different product area or product scope in the future.

How you’ll make an impact

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Build and communicate a clear product strategy for the Business Systems and Monetisation domain. Evaluate different strategic options, conduct detailed analysis (product value, competitor analysis, commercial goals, technical constraints) and recommend which direction to pursue.

  • Product Roadmap: Define the detailed product roadmap for the Business Systems and Monetisation domain, working closely with your counterparts in XD and Engineering. Make prioritisation decisions and understand the tradeoffs involved.

  • Stakeholder Management: Align the product strategy and roadmap with stakeholders in other functions (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Customer Experience)

  • Metrics: Work with the data team to define and implement tracking of the key metrics for your domain, covering both product metrics and commercial metrics.

  • Product Outcomes: In partnership with XD and Engineering, ensure that the team hits their goals and delivers meaningful outcomes (not just features shipped).

This job description is non exhaustive and intended only as a guideline of the responsibilities associated with the position. The employee is expected to perform any other duties as reasonably required by their Manager.

What you’ll bring with you

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with 3+ years in a SaaS environment.

  • Ideally 2-3 years product management experience in Monetisation, Activation or Growth

  • Ideally 1-2 years product management experience in Business Systems or Internal Systems

  • Previous experience in defining and executing a product strategy and roadmap (not just implementing roadmap items where the strategy has been set in advance)

  • Detail oriented - able to understand primary and secondary use cases and comfortable defining complex workflows

  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with metrics tooling

  • Ability to work well with UX or XD and Engineering to deliver value

  • Good cross functional stakeholder management skills

  • Knowledge of AI techniques is a plus

  • Experience in the Workforce Management software space is a plus

  • This opportunity is open to Copenhagen or London based
