Principal Solution Architect

Job Overview Productivity Engineering within Arm enables our global engineering community through high-performance infrastructure, engineering platforms, software workflows, and data-driven services.

We are looking for a Principal Solution Architect focused on platform integration, data strategy, and solution architecture . This role will define how engineering platforms, tools, APIs, workflows, and data capabilities connect into scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that improve engineering productivity across Arm.

Responsibilities

  • Define target architecture for integrated engineering platforms and data solutions.
  • Translate business and engineering needs into practical solution designs.
  • Establish integration patterns, data standards, and reference architectures.
  • Partner across engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and enterprise architecture teams.
  • Shape data strategy across ingestion, governance, quality, metadata, and analytics enablement.
  • Identify capability gaps, architectural risks, and investment priorities.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, observable, and cost-effective.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Significant experience as a solution architect, platform architect, enterprise architect, or data architect.
  • Experience designing integrated platforms across cloud, on-prem infrastructure, APIs, microservices, and data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of platform engineering, software delivery, infrastructure services, and developer experience.
  • Experience with data strategy, data integration, analytics enablement, or data architecture.
  • Ability to influence senior partners and align teams across a global organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to balance strategic direction with practical delivery.
“Nice To Have” Skills And Experience
  • Experience in semiconductor, hardware engineering, EDA, or engineering productivity environments.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata, lineage, catalogues, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience with architecture governance, technology roadmaps, vendor management, or investment planning.
