Power BI Developer (Current SC Clearance Required)

We're working with a specialist technology consultancy that's looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join a secure transformation programme.

This is a hands-on delivery role where you'll be responsible for building and enhancing Power BI reporting solutions that support business-critical decision making. You'll work with stakeholders across the programme to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights, developing reports and dashboards that are robust, scalable and easy to consume.

You'll be joining an experienced delivery team working within a secure environment, so previous experience delivering enterprise-scale reporting solutions is essential.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Building efficient data models using Power Query and DAX
  • Connecting to, transforming and modelling data from multiple sources, including SQL Server
  • Working with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Optimising report performance and user experience
  • Supporting testing, documentation and deployment of reporting solutions
  • Collaborating with data, infrastructure and project teams throughout delivery
We're looking for someone with:
  • Strong commercial experience developing solutions in Microsoft Power BI
  • Excellent knowledge of DAX, Power Query and data modelling
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimising queries
  • Experience working with SQL Server and relational databases
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation
  • Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric or the wider Azure data platform would be beneficial
  • Exposure to SSIS, SSRS or Azure DevOps is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Current, active Security Clearance (SC) is essential
