What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conduct online consultations to assess patient suitability for GLP-1 weight loss treatments.
  • Prescribe medications in line with internal protocols, risk assessments, and clinical SOPs.
  • Support patients from initial assessment to ongoing care and maintenance, ensuring continuity and safety throughout their weight loss journey.
  • Educate patients on medication use, possible side effects, expectations, and lifestyle guidance.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant patient records in line with legal and clinical standards.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced pharmacist prescribers to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
  • Respond to patient queries regarding their treatment, progress, and next steps, offering guidance and reassurance where needed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
  • Qualification as an Independent Prescriber (IP)
  • Previous prescribing experience is desirable
  • Experience prescribing GLP-1s is desirable
  • Familiarity with GPhC guidelines for online pharmacies and the current clinical guidelines for prescribing of injectable weight loss treatments
  • Excellent attention to detail and patient safety
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Genuine interest in weight management and a passion for improving access to healthcare
