Newly or PQ Accountant

What we’re looking for:

✔ Financial expertise (accounting, bookkeeping, analysis, reporting, etc.)

✔ Interest in supporting mission-led work at charities and social enterprises

✔ Salary of around £35k FTE depending on experience

The role will include:

  • Bookkeeping in Xero
  • Completion and review of bank reconciliations
  • Processing supplier payments on behalf of clients
  • Processing Client payroll
  • Production of monthly management accounts, including commentary on P&L drivers and deviations from budget
  • Presentation of management accounts to clients on monthly calls
  • Producing annual budgets and cashflow forecasts
  • Review of client VAT Returns
  • Responding to ad hoc queries from clients

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Understanding of key bookkeeping and accounting concepts, acquired through either an accounting related degree or partial ACCA qualification 
  • Willingness to work 100% remotely
  • Ability to work through issues alone in the first instance and propose solutions  
  • Confidence to speak to clients on regular calls
  • Be able to manage workload with minimal supervision
