Manager, Workday Reporting Consulting Services

The Workday Reporting Manager is a “go to” practice leader that provides expert guidance, advice, and development support to the Consulting management team and their subsequent team members. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOW’s). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Oversight responsibility for projects across the practice.

  • Oversee and assist Engagement Managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutions and strategies

  • Ability to act as a Reporting Lead on Workday implementations

  • Ability to jump in and support projects with little to no guidance.

  • Sales Support:

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications.

  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging and innovative work environment.

  • Lead and manage a team of consultants to ensure they are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday our internally developed methodology.

  • Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels.

  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence.

  • Ability to build trust-based relationship and identify and foster business development opportunities.

  • People Development:

  • Perform role of mentor and coach.

  • Analyze team skills and provide for cross training to maintain teams’ ability to staff projects appropriately.

  • Advise management team on team members’ level of expertise and availability.

  • Performance Management:

  • Establish direct reports’ goals and objectives during the bi-annual review process.

  • Direct the collection of performance feedback from customer and
    engagement/project manager on a quarterly basis or upon completion

    of project for your entire team.

  • Direct the collection of all internal contributions for team members assuring data is received by HR on a quarterly basis.

  • Drive bi-annual performance review process for the Consulting team.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Review estimates for sales opportunities.

  • Review SOWs for language and accuracy.

  • Attend Orals and prospect meetings.

  • Manage utilization to targets.

  • Monitor the sales pipeline to ensure accurate capacity planning for the team along with assigning resources to projects.

  • Schedule regular 1:1 meetings with direct and indirect reports.

  • Assess team member skills and maintain skills matrix.

  • Meet with team members bi-annually to provide performance and client satisfaction feedback.

  • Skills & Requirements:

  • Possess 3-5 years of Workday Consulting implementation experience, including required Workday certification(s).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience leading a virtual team.

  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments.

  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.

  • Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.
