Our daily newsletter and social media channel engage with millions each day, and our AI University gets hands-on and educates thousands of members on using AI tools.</p><p>Come and build the future of media with us!</p><p></p><p><strong>About the role</strong> </p><p><span>The Video Editor will work closely with other members of the video team to produce video content for The Rundown YouTube page, consisting primarily of 30 to 60 minute interviews. The video editor will manage the full edit, including motion graphics, sound mixing, and visual polish.</span></p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> </p><ul><li><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-6c1a3251-7fff-58b6-df6f-4c060f7177a4">Editing: </strong>The video editor will take the raw recording of the interview and turn it into a polished video for YouTube.</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-6c1a3251-7fff-58b6-df6f-4c060f7177a4">Motion Graphics: </strong>This includes lower-third text animations to display the guest and host names, and other motion graphics that support the content.</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-6c1a3251-7fff-58b6-df6f-4c060f7177a4">Polishing the edit: </strong>Upholding video quality standards by making sure videos have the appropriate color correction, audio mixing, sound effects, and music selection before the final export.</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-6c1a3251-7fff-58b6-df6f-4c060f7177a4">Maintain visual style: </strong>Maintain the look and feel of the account while staying current with platform trends</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-6c1a3251-7fff-58b6-df6f-4c060f7177a4">Optimize for platform performance:</strong> Edit with retention in mind. Engaging intros, tight pacing, strategic text placement & visuals designed to maximize watch time.</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-6c1a3251-7fff-58b6-df6f-4c060f7177a4">Self-motivated and organized: </strong>Manage multiple projects and stay organized, keeping quality consistent across everything you put out.</span></p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>Skills and experience </strong></p><ul><li><p><span>2-5 years of professional experience editing content for YouTube and/or other social media platforms.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Mastery of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, with a solid understanding of motion graphics workflows.
