Legal Administrator (Commercial Property)

Eventus Legal are seeking a Legal Administrator to join a highly successful Commercial Property team based in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a permanent job available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility over working hours alongside hybrid working and remote working options following probation. Role Responsibilities

This Legal Administrator job in Stockton-on-Tees will involve providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to a busy Commercial Property team. The incoming Legal Administrator will work closely with Solicitors and fee earners on a varied workload within a respected and well-established legal environment.

Duties will include:

  • Opening and maintaining files using the case management system
  • Obtaining ID documents and carrying out AML, conflict and media searches
  • Audio typing and preparation of correspondence, legal documents and file notes
  • Preparing legal documentation including contracts, leases and Land Registry forms
  • Ordering property searches and assisting with completions
  • Preparing invoices, completion statements and payment requests
  • Liaising with clients, other law firms and third parties via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings
  • Submitting applications to the Land Registry and requesting office copies
  • Providing general administrative support to the Commercial Property department
  • Assisting colleagues with workload management and holiday cover where required

Person Specification

Applications are sought from experienced Legal Administrators, Legal Secretaries or Commercial Property Secretaries with previous experience gained within a law firm environment. Prior experience within Commercial Property or Residential Property are essential for this Legal Administrator job.

The successful Legal Administrator will also demonstrate:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Strong audio typing and IT skills including Microsoft Word and case management systems
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • A proactive and professional approach with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
