Role Overview

As a Junior QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of our products. Working closely with development and product teams, you will help define and uphold quality standards, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Implement and execute automated tests to identify bugs and ensure product quality.
  • Continuously optimize automation frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability.

Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Identify and document test cases, scenarios, and test data for automation.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, reports, and results.

Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD):

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and deployment.
  • Monitor test results in CI/CD environments and provide timely feedback to stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

  • Advocate for quality best practices across the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in QA and test automation.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions.
  • From time to time, you may be required to work flexibly to accommodate our valued US-based customers, ensuring our global commitment to exceptional service.

Qualifications & Skills

The Must-Haves:

  • Proven experience in QA automation, with expertise in designing and implementing test frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
  • Strong experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of security testing and tools.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
