Income Collection Officer - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - London, UK
Overview
We are currently looking to recruit an Income Collection Officer to join our Extra Care team here at Housing 21. Within the role you will support the management of high level, complex and long-standing arrears cases within the London region. You will be supporting Housing Scheme Managers to proactively manage rent accounts, prevent rent arrears and provide compassionate, solution-focused support to residents experiencing financial difficulties. Ensuring the effective and timely collection of rent and service charges from residents, supporting Housing 21\'s collect with care approach. Conduct off scheme visits to ensure that Housing 21\'s residents support to sustain their tenancies continues during absence from their homes. This is a mobile role based in London; the successful candidate will be required to work within the London area with occasional national travel with overnight stays as required. Curious to know more? Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Experience of income collection within tenancy management and the legal framework within which it operates.
- Experience and knowledge of the welfare benefits system, financial wellbeing and inclusion, income maximisation and other relevant procedures.
- Experience of social housing and older people\'s support.
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of customers and the business.
- Experience of advising, guiding and influencing colleagues at all levels (Desirable).
