To support this ambition, we are looking to expand our team by hiring an <strong>HSE Officer / Occupational Health & Safety Officer for our projects in Jamaica.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>What will your mission be?</strong></p><p>Occupational Health & Safety Management</p><p>Implement and monitor the occupational health and safety system at the plants, ensuring compliance with local regulations, internal procedures and continuous improvement standards.</p><p>Risk Prevention at Plant Level</p><p>Identify risks, carry out inspections and audits, and prepare preventive documentation such as JHAs, special work permits, procedures and corrective action plans.</p><p>Training and Awareness</p><p>Identify training needs, train personnel in safety, emergency response, equipment use and PPE, and deliver Tool Box Talks based on the risks detected at the plants.</p><p>Emergency Management</p><p>Design and implement the Emergency Response Plan, coordinate drills, review detection and fire-fighting systems, and provide support during emergency situations.</p><p>Legal Compliance and Liaison with Authorities</p><p>Act as the point of contact with local authorities on EHS matters, support official inspections, prepare the required documentation and assist HR with workplace accident notifications, occupational case follow-up and record keeping.</p><p>Incident Investigation and Reporting</p><p>Report incidents, investigate root causes, propose preventive and corrective actions, and prepare technical and follow-up reports according to plant requirements.</p><p>Improvement of Working Conditions</p><p>Implement improvements in signage, PPE use, preventive controls and safety measures in line with applicable regulations and company standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What do we expect from you?</strong></p><p>University degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Prevention or a related field.</p><p>At least 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in industrial or energy environments.</p><p>Knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, local OSH regulations, the OSH Bill and the Voluntary Compliance Program — VCP.</p><p>Knowledge of Safe Worker programmes.</p><p>Experience in incident reporting, root cause investigation and continuous improvement initiatives.</p><p>Ability to liaise with local authorities on EHS matters.</p><p>Ability to prepare technical reports and follow-up reports according to plant needs.</p><p>Valid driving licence</p><p>Residence: Montego Bay</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What do we offer?</strong></p><p><strong>Challenging Projects</strong></p><p>You will be part of a strong team of highly skilled professionals who combine talent and commitment, gaining a global and cross-functional view of innovative, internationally recognised projects.</p><p><strong>Professional Development</strong></p><p>You will have access to internal development and promotion opportunities within the Group, as well as ongoing investment in talent development through continuous training.
