<p><strong>Head of M&A (Europe) – Renewables – UK (Hybrid) + competitive compensation + LTI & strong progression opportunities</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Are you a seasoned M&A professional with a track record of originating & securing renewables assets/platform deals? If so, please read on...</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Company:</strong></p><p>A well-structured & ambitious European IPP, who have strong institutional investment, 500MW+ of assets in operation, 5GW+ of secured wind, solar, and BESS pipeline across Europe, and a 7GW+ operating target for 2030.</p><p>They will primarily utilise an acquisition strategy of late stage or operating assets or existing platforms.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>European Head of M&A to lead acquisition & divestment across all of their 5 current countries, plus new market entrance. This role could be located in any of the following countries (UK, Germany, Italy, Spain).</p><p><br></p><p>This will be a highly influential role, reporting directly to the CEO with strong access to the senior executive team and the major investor. Also supporting the senior management to develop a high-performing team and effective systems & processes.</p><p><br></p><p>This has fantastic scope for progression into executive management functions in the coming years, taking advantage of the organic growth of the company as it expands internationally.</p><p><br></p><p>Your main responsibilities will be:</p><ul><li>Define & execute a 3 to 5 year regional/international M&A strategy to secure a multi GW late stage or operational portfolio</li><li>Take the lead in the origination, due diligence, negotiation, and closing of buy & sell side M&A deals, with a focus on acquisition of Utility-Scale Renewables Assets and/or Platforms</li><li>Establish & manage relationships with banks, brokers, consultancies, funds, IPPs, and developers etc across Europe</li><li>Built and lead a high performing team</li><li>Strong LTI opportunity available</li></ul><p><strong>The Person</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will likely have:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or Engineering</li><li>3+ years leading M&A transations for Utility-Scale Solar PV, Wind, Battery Storage, Green Gases, or Gas</li><li>Experience leading negotiations with banks, funds, Utilities, and IPPs</li><li>Strong commercial & analytical capabilities</li><li>Experience leading a team</li><li>Speak English, Spanish, German, or Italian would be attractive</li></ul><p>If you are looking for a challenging role with prospects to match, make your application without delay.</p><p><br></p><p>For more information and a confidential career discussion, please contact:</p><p>david.cottam@hunterphilips.com</p>
