We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Global AI Markets NFR - VP. This is a new role within MSS AI Risk Management, established to provide dedicated governance, challenge and oversight of AI risk across Markets & Securities Services (MSS). The role will provide focused non-financial risk (NFR) coverage for AI Markets and related front-office AI capabilities, supporting safe and controlled adoption of AI in line with MSS and broader CIB risk standards. This is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with the AI Markets business, helping to identify, assess, challenge and escalate AI-related risks, drive control enhancements, and ensure activity is managed in line with internal policy, responsible AI expectations and applicable regulatory standards. In this role you will be responsible for: Acting as the primary NFR point of contact for Risk and Governance of the AI Markets platform, including associated front-office AI / GenAI capabilities within MSS Supporting and promoting the operating effectiveness of the AI Markets control framework, including governance, procedures, escalation routes and evidence of control operation Reviewing and challenging non-financial risk and control activity, including assessments, designs, material changes, new model/feature deployments, geographic rollouts, data scope changes and associated operating model impacts Partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation, (such as business representatives, COO, Technology & Product Owners, Cybersecurity, Compliance, Legal, Data, Model Risk Management and others) to ensure AI Markets risks are identified and managed appropriately Ownership of governance forums and associated materials, ensuring issues, incidents and remediation actions are tracked and escalated in line with Group requirements where required Providing oversight of monitoring and reporting, including model/performance reporting, issue management and control attestations as required Co-ordinating reviews and enquiries, acting as a key point for deep dives relating to AI Markets from internal review teams, auditors, regulators or first/second line partners Driving continuous improvement and simplification across the AI Markets control environment while maintaining strong governance standards Embedding a strong control and conduct culture for AI-enabled activity across Markets, supporting the business and NFR leadership To be successful in this role you should have: Experience in Markets/front-office non-financial risk, control, audit, business management and governance Strong understanding of front-office control frameworks and environments, including conduct risks and governance expectations in a regulated banking context Demonstrable knowledge across AI / model / analytics risk (including governance, change risk, data lineage, explainability, monitoring and output risk) and related disciplines such as model risk, cyber, data governance and operational resilience Experience supporting AI, analytics, digital or front-office technology programmes, and working effectively across business and technology change agendas Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders across business, technology and control functions (without direct reporting lines), with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Opening up a world of opportunity.
