GenAI / LLM Engineer

The GenAI / LLM Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and deploying generative AI solutions using large language models to solve real‑world business problems. The role focuses on developing scalable AI‑powered applications, integrating LLMs into enterprise systems, and collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high‑quality AI solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy generative AI solutions using large language models for business use cases.
  • Build and integrate LLM‑powered applications, including prompt pipelines, agents, and AI services.
  • Implement prompt engineering, evaluation, and optimisation techniques to improve model outputs.
  • Develop backend services and APIs to expose AI capabilities to applications and platforms.
  • Integrate LLM solutions with enterprise data sources, vector databases, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) patterns.
  • Ensure AI solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate requirements into AI solutions.
  • Contribute to testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI systems in production.

Your profile

  • Hands‑on experience with generative AI and large language models (e.g. OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, open‑source LLMs).
  • Proficiency in Python and experience building backend services or APIs for AI solutions.
  • Solid understanding of prompt engineering, LLM evaluation techniques, and model limitations.
  • Experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) and deploying AI solutions in cloud environments.
  • Good understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing and version control.
  • Ability to translate business problems into practical AI‑driven solutions.
  • Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks.
  • Exposure to fine‑tuning or adapting foundation models for domain‑specific use cases.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, data privacy, and model governance principles.
  • Familiarity with containerisation and CI/CD for deploying AI services.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications or workflow.
