About Whitemans Green Sports Club

Whitemans Green Sports Club (WGSC) (www.whitemansgreensports.club ) is the brainchild of Haywards Heath RFC that has brought together multiple sports clubs, plus many local community organisations as beneficiaries of a new multi-sports pavilion.

includes-

· A large bar area offering various comfortable seating arrangements which must be kept neat and tidy at all times - live sports will be shown on the screens.

· A dividable social space that will be available for hire for corporate and private events.

· A meeting room with seating for 10 people.

· A commercial kitchen providing food throughout the day plus small plates as per a bespoke menu that will change by day e.g. roast lunches will be served on Sundays.

· Physio suite will be contracted out to a reputable provider of services.

· On site Padel courts will also operate independently but will need oversight from the Clubhouse Management at certain times of the day/evening.

The bar area offers a premium WiFi connection and provide an ideal ‘work from home’ space for the local community. The bar and social space will both open out onto a balcony featuring covered seating and tables whilst at the south end of the building, double doors from the bar will lead onto a sun terrace.

We are seeking committed individuals who are motivated to developing a reputation for excellence at the new HHRFC Clubhouse that will encourage members and the community to visit time and again, through high quality and friendly service, great food, and unique facilities altogether creating a renowned destination for social interaction.

The Role

Front of house staff will be joining a committed team with a joint passion for a successful new venture. They will have a keen focus on delivering high quality service and upholding the ethos of the new Clubhouse.

Responsibilities / Duties

· Serve drinks efficiently and accurately.

· Deliver friendly and attentive service, taking orders and providing recommendations.

· Maintain cleanliness and health and safety standards throughout the bar area and restaurant.

· Restock bar inventory through the shift, be aware of wastage policies.

· Handle transactions accurately.

· Complete training prior to and during initial shifts, engage with ongoing training.

· Regularly liaise with kitchen and management to ensure full knowledge of menus and allergen policies.

Skills Required

· Prior experience in a bar or waiting role preferred.

· Customer service orientated.

· Flexibility required to adapt to a range of shift patterns including evenings and weekends.

· Commitment to learning processes and upholding high standards.

· Barista training preferred but not required.

Personal qualities

· Great communication skills and a focus on teamwork.

· A hands-on work ethic.

· An appreciation of sport, and desire to deliver quality service to everyone who enters the Clubhouse at any time on any day.

· Trustworthy and hard-working.

· Committed to contributing to a team-focussed environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.50-£12.71 per hour
