Freelance Accountant (Urgent) – First Year Accounts & Ongoing Accounting Support

About Us

KUSHIKA VENTURES UK LTD is a UK-based startup. We are currently preparing our first statutory accounts and are looking for an experienced freelance accountant who can complete this work accurately and efficiently.

This is an urgent requirement and must be completed within one week.

While this is initially a one-off project, we are looking to build a long-term relationship with someone who can become our company's accountant and manage all future accounting and tax-related work as the business grows.

About the Role

We are seeking a freelancer who already works as an accountant and has practical experience preparing and filing UK limited company accounts. We are not looking for someone learning the process or completing this as their first filing.

Accuracy is extremely important, as these filings are statutory requirements. We require someone who understands UK accounting regulations and can complete the work correctly the first time.

The successful candidate will prepare and submit all required documentation for our first accounting period.

Scope of Work The accounting period is:

25 October 2024 – 31 October 2025

The work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Preparing statutory accounts
  • Filing accounts with Companies House
  • Preparing and submitting the Corporation Tax Return (CT600) to HMRC
  • Preparing the Corporation Tax computation
  • Advising on any Corporation Tax payable (if applicable)
  • Ensuring all statutory filing deadlines are met
Accounting Work Required The successful freelancer will prepare:
  • Trial Balance
  • Profit & Loss Account
  • Balance Sheet
  • Director's Loan Account
  • Micro-Entity Accounts
  • Corporation Tax Computation
  • Companies House Filing Information
  • HMRC Corporation Tax (CT600) submission
Financial Information to Organise The accountant will help review and organise the following:

Income

  • Exact Amazon income received during the accounting period
Expenses

Review and categorise all business expenses including:

  • Amazon selling fees
  • Amazon advertising
  • Stock purchases
  • Packaging
  • Postage
  • Software subscriptions
  • Domain and website expenses
  • Office supplies
  • Bank charges
  • Any other allowable business expenses
Assets

Identify and record

  • Tide Business Account balance as at 31 October 2025
  • Remaining stock (if applicable)
  • Business equipment or assets owned by the company
Liabilities

Calculate and record

  • Director's Loan Account
  • Outstanding bills
  • Corporation Tax liability (if applicable)
  • Any other liabilities

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience preparing and filing UK Limited Company accounts.

  • Understands micro-entity accounts.
  • Has experience preparing CT600 Corporation Tax Returns.
  • Can communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Can complete the work within one week.
  • Can advise if any additional information is required.
Payment

As we are a startup completing our first filing, our budget is modest for this initial project. We cannot offer high fees at this stage, but we are looking for the right professional to grow with our business.

This is an opportunity to become our long-term freelance accountant and support KUSHIKA VENTURES UK LTD as it expands. We expect future work to include annual accounts, Corporation Tax returns, bookkeeping support, financial advice, and other accounting services.

Payment for this project will be released once the agreed work has been completed and we have reviewed the deliverables. We will verify the completed work against the relevant Companies House and HMRC guidance before releasing payment, simply to ensure everything has been prepared correctly. We value quality work and are looking for a reliable professional for an ongoing relationship.
