Fraud Analyst, Banking – L1
Job Description:
- Monitor and work the real-time fraud alert queue across digital banking, cards and payments during night-shift hours (Kuwait time).
- Triage alerts using defined playbooks: verify activity, contact-strategy actions where applicable, disposition as genuine, fraud or refer.
- Escalate complex, high-value or pattern-linked cases to L2 with a clear, complete handover narrative.
- Meet alert-handling SLAs and quality standards, and keep case records accurate and complete.
- Flag recurring false positives and emerging patterns to the team's data analyst.
- Hand over cleanly at shift end to ensure 24/7 continuity.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years in fraud operations, transaction monitoring, disputes/chargebacks or a similar alert-driven banking environment.
- Experience working an alert queue on a fraud or transaction monitoring system (any major platform).
- Genuine availability and suitability for sustained night-shift work aligned to Kuwait hours (AST, GMT+3) - please check the overlap with your own time zone before applying.
- Reliable home working setup: quiet environment and stable high-speed internet.
- Clear written English for case notes and escalation handovers.
- Available to commence in August 2026 - immediate or short-notice availability strongly preferred for this role.
