Coordinator - Business & Legal Affairs, UK Scripted Series (9 month FTC)

OverviewNetflix\'s UK Business & Legal Affairs team is seeking an experienced coordinator who will provide support to the Business & Legal Affairs team, based in London. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team ensuring smooth and efficient workflows. This is a demanding and fast-paced role that requires curiosity and significant initiative. This is a 9 month FTC parental leave cover.

Responsibilities

Contract administration and document management

Creating, updating and tracking spreadsheets with deal terms, options, credits, etc. and assisting with timely notifications

Managing forms as well as document management systems

Summarising and coordinating deliveries for chain of titles

Assisting team members with deal data

Facilitating and improving cross-functional communication, alignment and collaboration with other departments (including finance, production, delivery and other legal teams)

Assisting with drafting of simple agreements e.g. certificates of engagement and day-to-day high volume standard form production contracts

Increasing team operational efficiency

Maintaining flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary

Candidate profile

Undergraduate degree or equivalent desired and at least 2 years paralegal or coordinator experience required

Content-related work experience, working in or alongside a business and/or legal affairs department a plus

Experience with contract review, an ability to read, understand and distill key terms and an ability to analyse deal data

Demonstrates good judgment and strong critical thinking skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight schedules in a very fast-paced environment across multiple timezones

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented

Ability to respond positively to change and be respectful of new ideas

High level of organisation, detail orientation and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines

Proven track record of improving team organisation and efficiency

A tech savvy individual with strong technical skills and an ability to learn and use a variety of productivity applications and programs quickly

Knowledge of UK audiovisual industry landscape

Curiosity and willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise

Commitment to embrace and advocate for inclusion
