As a Customer Advisor your role will involve receiving inbound calls from candidates who are looking to join the British Army and responding to any enquiries regarding their application processes.

  • Full-time, permanent role: working 37.5 hours per week.
  • Office working: at our Upavon, Wiltshire office.
  • As part of the induction process, you may be required to attend an in-person, 1.5 day, induction at our offices in Bovington.

What you'll be doing

  • Answering calls from individuals looking to join the British Army.
  • Responding to online webchat enquiries.
  • Accurately updating the internal database.
  • Escalating any problems or issues that may occur.
  • Responding to candidate questions regarding various stages in the recruitment process.
  • Supporting team members as and when required.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Previous customer service skills - face to face or over the telephone.
  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adaptable to in-house databases.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Active listening skills with the ability to type key information at the same time.
  • Must have the flexibility to work a shift pattern, between the hours of 8:15am-7pm.
  • Empathy and patience.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with army careers, would be an advantage.
