Negotiate and manage deals with external partners and stakeholders to secure rights for the BBC's content and ensure the organization's commercial success. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and create innovative strategies to maximize revenue and audience reach. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement commercial and business plans that align with the BBC's overall goals and objectives. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, changes in media and entertainment landscape, and legal regulations to ensure compliance and inform decision-making. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including content producers, distributors, and other media organizations, to foster mutually beneficial partnerships. Manage and maintain rights databases and systems to accurately track and report on rights and licensing agreements. Work closely with legal teams to negotiate and draft contracts, ensuring that all agreements are in line with the BBC's policies and procedures. Analyze and assess the financial and commercial impact of potential deals and partnerships to inform decision-making and budget planning. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on business affairs and rights management matters. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to business affairs and rights management, and take proactive measures to address them.
