<p><strong>Self-Employed Bookkeeper / Accounts Support</strong></p> <p><strong>UK Spa Association</strong><br /> <strong>Flexible Contract Basis | Approximately 4–6 hours per week | Remote Working</strong></p> <p>The UK Spa Association (UKSA) is looking for an experienced and reliable <strong>self-employed Bookkeeper / Accounts professional</strong> to provide ongoing financial support to our growing organisation.</p> <p>This is a flexible opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and would like to support the smooth financial operation of a respected industry association.</p> <p>Working closely with the UKSA General Manager and Treasurer, you will provide regular bookkeeping and accounts support on a self-employed basis, helping to ensure our financial records remain accurate, up to date, and well managed.</p> <p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type: disc;"> <li>Approximately <strong>4–6 hours per week</strong></li> <li>Flexible working arrangements</li> <li>Remote working</li> <li>Ongoing support on a self-employed contract basis</li> <li>Opportunity to work closely with a small, friendly team supporting the UK spa industry</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type: disc;"> <li>Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities</li> <li>Recording income and expenditure accurately</li> <li>Raising and processing invoices</li> <li>Monitoring membership payments and renewals</li> <li>Supporting supplier and event payment processes</li> <li>Reconciling bank statements</li> <li>Preparing regular financial updates for the Board</li> <li>Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation</li> <li>Monitoring and responding to accounts related emails</li> <li>Liaising with the accountant as needed</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>We are looking for someone who:</p> <ul style="list-style-type: disc;"> <li>Has experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration</li> <li>Is confident managing financial records independently</li> <li>Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills</li> <li>Is comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software </li> <li>Can manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively</li> <li>Has a proactive and supportive approach</li> <li>Understands the importance of confidentiality and accuracy</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience using Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the UK Spa Association</strong></p> <p>The UK Spa Association is the leading professional association supporting the UK spa industry.
