We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as an Amazon Delivery Driver. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those with experience in delivery, warehousing, or commercial driving to utilise and develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Load and unload parcels, ensuring correct handling of items, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
  • Deliver packages to customers' addresses in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered during routes.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of goods and vehicle safety procedures.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role, with knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
  • Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car or lorry).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.

  • Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with loading and unloading parcels.
