The Role

You’ll lead media planning and buying across a variety of channels — TV, radio, OOH, digital, paid content, and trade — while collaborating closely with our programmatic experts. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced remote environment. You’ll be trusted to own campaigns end-to-end, drive performance, and continuously seek improvements without needing direction. Part time hours are possible for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan: Develop media strategies and plans that meet client goals, budgets, and audience insights. Proactively challenge the brief to drive better outcomes.
  • Negotiate & Buy: Secure media across channels at the best rates and placements, using strong negotiation and commercial instincts.
  • Execute Campaigns: Lead campaign launches, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
  • Optimize & Report: Monitor live campaigns, optimize for performance, and prepare clear client reports with actionable insights to proactively recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate: Build strong client relationships and lead internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up with media trends, audience behaviour, and competitive activity, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Drive Growth: Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and grow client accounts through proactive strategy and initiative.

Who You Are

  • At least 3 years experience in media planning and buying at a UK agency, with exposure to multiple media types.
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and digital media landscapes.
  • A highly driven self-starter with strong commercial instincts and a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Confident negotiator who consistently secures the best value for clients.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communicator and presenter, able to clearly articulate strategy and performance to clients.
  • Ambitious and proactive — you take ownership of your work and constantly look for ways to improve performance and drive growth.
